On July 20, 2005, the Moon Township Municipal Authority Board of Directors renamed the Montour Run Wastewater Treatment Plant the "Leonard L. Nary Wastewater Treatment Plant at Montour Run," in recognition of Mr. Nary's dedication to the community. Initially providing service to develop youth sports teams, Leonard Nary was Commissioner of the Moon Township Crescent Athletic Association for eight years and President of the Moon Township Board of Parks and Recreation for 12 years. Most notably, he served on the Board of Directors of the Moon Township Municipal Authority for 25 years.
